on monday our family of four went to east coast to have seafood...and no, we did not eat at No Signboard we ate at International Seafood?? can't rem the name but next door to it was No Signboard Seafood---no signboard has been around for a long time now, and the name still makes me cringe cos it's so ironic and so tacky??? but it's interesting...I can see Singapore flavor... in the name...haha

ooh when the food came, each dish came with tags...and i was quite amused by this...so cute. :)

yeah i have this color on my nails now...i would prefer it to be a lil darker and less translucent but oh welsch...wanted the color i saw on drew barrymore in music and lyrics but i settled for this....i think it's a far cry...anywayz i have to thank mano and andrea for shopping with me and helping me search....haha

when i was young i was taught never to say the word, "So." like don't go asking "So?" after someone has said something about themselves or given an opinion etc. cos it's rude.

at my age, i find the words,"so what" to be particularly appealing...i may not say them out loud, cos i don't wish to be rude...but i say it in my head cos it gives me the same effect...because sometimes...some people are just too jerkified---yes i made this word up...and "so what" just seems to be the most appropriate response....

the above thoughts were partly influenced by watching the tyra banks show at 4am in the morning last night. the reason i was up at that hour was because i was doing some schoolwork (presentation stuff, and i'm so glad it is over!!!!) i DO NOT normally watch the tyra banks show.... unless there's really something interesting on it, i try to avoid it...cos i dun particularly like her style, i prefer ellen!!!! (who i think is also better than oprah) so so so...i only watched tyra yest cos as i was flipping through the channels, i saw one of my favorite comedy actresses!---Leah Remini from the King of Queens!!!---one of my favorite sitcoms!!! Leah Remini is so funny and honest....i just love her...she did not put up a front when she was on the show...she's just the way she is...i can tell...

anyhow, this is what i heard her say on the show, not her exact words but close, " i don't like it when people comment something bad after the event has occurred...like...i walk on the red carpet...and a friend calls up after and says you know you looked horrible??...like what am i supposed to do with this information? So what? are you trying to make me feel bad???"--- wow!!!! if i can only count the number of times this has happened to me! (not the red carpet of course). man...but then i have to admit i'm guilty of doing this sometimes, whether unconsciously or consciously...

one thing i don't get is why people blog if they wanna remain private, or why do they even keep a private blog?! it does not make sense. if you want to keep whatever you want to keep private, why on earth do you go onto the internet and type it all out there and then set it to private??? why not just write it in your own private diary at home...u wanna save space???---if this is your reason i think it is really quite silly, how much space can your diaries take??? plus the internet is not that safe...your seemingly private posts may not be so private afterall...grrr...

it feels really quite good to be awake at the right time..i forced myself to sleep at 2 plus and then wake up to study. the alternative was to stay awake and study all through the night and then sleep when i get back at 5...i'm currently studying will leave the hse at about 1.10? i have no idea how this mid-term is gonna be like...this professor is so EXPRESSIVE!!! ahaha...he's funny..but his less structured style of teaching is getting to me...cos i kinda like structure...i like to know what to expect...i like to learn in a structured environment....whether or not i lead a structured lifestyle is a different question altogether....haha...

reality is sinking in...school has started...school has started...school has STARTED!!! time for school vomit: for the past 2 days i was still in a "limbo" mood...neither here nor there....crammed for today's quiz...cramming is not good period. din really study page one and so i think i probably got that question wrong...gah! felt so sian the entire day...

went for dinner at mezzanine with adeline, she had pork chops and i had roasted chicken and we had a dessert platter for two! (i forgot to take the picture of the food!---dunno how come i feel like taking pics of food these days...) yummy...went to look at sunglasses at isetan and i saw this gucci one i want! think i might get it from the net (it's cheaper)... then went to borders to look at books...and i asked her to help me read the ending of the vanishing act of esme lennox and see if she could tell me the ending..hahaha...she's also blur..but it's not fair...i'll have to lend her to read the entire book first i guess...gonna lend her my sister's keeper too...after that we had gelatissimo, i had hazelnut and she had cinnamon donut....ermz...dunno how come the hazelnut ice-cream kept dripping from the cone...i still think of the gelatissimo sis and i had in sydney...delicious!

so adeline drove me home and we were talking in the car and i actually dozed off!!!! i'm amazed that i could still answer her questions while sleeping leh....it's a first! i've heard of ppl doing that...my mom had this exp. before...hahahaha...and now i get to exp. it myself....hohoho...no more late nights/early mornings...

i love public transportation...the taxi is a public transport but lets not put it in the picture. I like the buses and the MRT trains, i like the feeling of traveling with everyone else...there are so many things and/or people to observe, sure, sometimes the BO of the person next to you can get to you but it's so interesting to observe people and see how they behave....and sometimes u realize you are being observed too haha...i don't mind the crowds in the buses and trains, i really don't...not with my iPOD ;D

School has begun

school has officially started for me, less play more work? ermz...i'll balance...

today, i went for the secretary interview for the UB student council. after the interview i kept thinking about the things i could have said and how i could have phrased certain things better...etc....argh...there are other candidates of course...i've surrendered this to the lord :) i'll know the result on wednesday :) if it's meant to be, it's meant to be.

class was a blast! the prof is one of the best lecturers i've had in uni so far...class was not boring, it was entertaining yet informational. this is how i want all my lectures to be! :D glad i chose this class :D wait, is it too early to tell??? hee...but first impressions are important and can tell a lot (although sometimes i have to disagree), and he has definitely given me a very good first impression :D

and when i came home i started "training" for the Shape Run...(i'm joining the shape run with jo! woot!) went to the canal to jog...i wanted to jog all 4km of the way like the last time but i stopped to walk for a bit (so sad!), plus i did not even complete the whole 4km...well at least i started...

interesting thing, i came home from school and took the lift with a neighbor (i do not know) who i assume just came back from work and when i came home from the canal, he came back from his exercise too and we took the same lift again...such a coincidence...

i watched nancy drew by myself while my sis and my mom walked around in town a few days ago..

the experience was pleasant :) i give the show 3 out of 5 stars..actually 2.75, but let's round it up shall we??? hehe...

i was a small fan of nancy drew when i was 13-14 years old. that was why i wanted to watch it.

i remember wanting to collect the entire series of nancy drew books...the "teenage" ones...ended up only buying 3...and they are all gone now, they were given away....

and emma roberts really resembles julia roberts! her acting was not fantastic but i could imagine an 11 year old girl admiring her and wanting to be like her (both emma roberts and nancy drew in the movie)

i'm essentially nerdy. and so when i saw nancy drew all prim and proper, handing in those fantastic assignments (basically, doing well in school), i went "wow!" in my heart...hahaha...

p.s.: i'm trying to find out the difference between geeky and nerdy..are they the same???

p.p.s : i got myself this really cute turtle "handphone hanging thingy", really cute mushroom and a bigger version of the turtle...they are so cute...couldn't resist!!!! it really feels good to satisfy and pacify your inner child ;)

I don't get the ending. I read it 3 times and I still don't get it.

So after coming back from Sydney i found that my appetite for food grew tremendously...not exactly sure why but i have a feeling it's the serving portions in aussie...i miss Sydney~!

anyway, when i came back i bought myself a jar of nutella, why? because it's been a long time since i had it and they were advertising it in aussie...

i ate the whole jar as if it were ice-cream...i did not use it as a spread!! and so i grew fattttt!

i finished the jar in 4 days...

i'm craving for another one now...but the way i eat it is not healthy...i will grow fatter...no no no!!!

Looking good versus FEELING good.

When a person looks good, does it mean he/she feels good?

Nope. I think not.

I was thinking about this the past few days...i was struggling with some fashion issues...having problems dressing myself...trying to find out what "me" really is...and how to fit myself into some of my clothes ...and my mind wandered to the ever so popular topic of models or women starving themselves to "look good".

For the sake of this post, the concept of "look good" will mean slim, model figure, celebrity-like, think supermodels...

ok so we go around calling this and that person "slim" "good-looking" "fashionable" "beautiful" all the positive adjectives u can think of pertaining to looks BUT have you ever considered if that person you are referring to actually feels good?

would you rather be on a perpetual "hunger strike" and constantly feel hungry or would you rather eat and feel sustained?

This may sound cheesy and cliche BUT it is an undeniable fact, "we live only once." And are we going to purposefully go hungry for the rest of our waking lives just for the sake of this world-made idea of what a "good-looking" person is and how he or she should look like??

This post was not written as an excuse for me to gorge myself with every kind of food i so happen to feel like eating any time during the day....cos, there is also the issue of obesity.

Ermmmmmm....i just went over to mrbrown's blog and got myself a huge laugh...

i still can't believe not everyone in Singapore knows who Steven Lim is...eewww. i don't even wish to say his name...but i have to...if not, how am i going to continue with my story??...

a while back when celestine, andrea and i were walking down the streets of orchard...we chanced upon Steven Lim approaching a lady....i told andrea and celestine, "he's at it again..." and both of them ignored me at first and then later on asked if i said something....then i said..."haiz...steven lim..approaching another victim..." both of them looked at me blankly and told me they did not know who he was and then i went on and said, "what??!!! you don't know him???!!! you din watch singapore idol???!!!" (i'm laughing at myself now, was singapore idol that important???lol...) anyway they both said no...and celestine said, "oh...we were wondering why you were talking to yourself"...and i said, "no! i thought i was talking to you!" haha..funny right?

anyway..me being kaypoh, i went to the link mrbrown provided to that site steven lim made for his "modeling agency"...eew...

this explains what i saw that day when i was out shopping with adeline at paragon...i saw steven lim talking to one lady and the lady actually looked like she was providing him with some information about herself!!!

anyway if u go to his "model and talents" site and see the backgrounds of the pics he took of the various "models" it might interest you to know most of them i think are from a/various wall/walls in paragon!!! yeah i noticed...

i think both my sister and i were approached by him three times each on various occasions to have our eyebrows plucked by him...all because we needed to get into tangs...one time, i actually witnessed him plucking a girl's eyebrow there at a corner!!!---oh how i cringed!!!

i think he has since migrated to the paragon vicinity (think that was where andrea, celestine and i saw him--outside paragon)...girls and apparently guys (judging from the website) please BEWARE!!!!

Giving Glory to the lord

I think this post is overdue, anyhow here goes...

My grades for last semester came in late last week...the "confirmed" grades....it wasn't confirmed before because there was a grade for one subject that was still pending (remember that dumb boo boo the school made?)

ok...i started last semester feeling dejected, low, depressed, whatever...cos my GPA fell from that minimum standard i had set for myself...my school has this GPA calculator that allows us to plug in pseudo grades so that we can gauge how our final GPA might turn out...and i kept plugging in the grades i thought i might be able to get and well..the results always left me disappointed...so much so that i even entertained the thought of repeating accounting II so that i can pull my GPA up ( i HATE accounting)...

I studied the best way i knew how...and prayed and surrendered everything to the lord...there were times during the semester when i would feel really lazy...and when the grades for some tests weren't all that pleasing...i would repent of my laziness and pray for the lord's help...sometimes i would feel as if i was trapped in this vicious cycle...procrastinating and then repenting...work a lil'...procrastinate and then repent again...even the day before the exams i could not say i was 100% ready...or i did the best i could...

it's such a miracle...and truly by the grace of God that i got the grades i got...i am extremely happy and satisfied with my grades...my GPA improved!!! i'm still in the running for one of those honors i want...

i think without the lord's mercy, direction and wisdom i would have lost the battle...i asked the lord to show me the areas to concentrate on and He did..He really came true for me...i would converse with the lord constantly, before the exams and ask specifically for Him to show me the areas in which to focus on and He did...and i prayed before taking every paper.

This may seem a lil' difficult for some of my non-christian friends to understand...but the lord really did help...He is my rock and my strength...all i had to do was say "lord take-over" and i would feel some of that heavy weight being lifted off my shoulders...

That being said...please don't misunderstand what i'm trying to say...and think God is some magic genie...

would i still thank the lord even if my grades did not turn out the way it did? well it would be hard...but i would...'cos there is a reason and there's a lesson...He has a great plan for me..tho' i know not yet what....but slowly and surely I trust and have faith that He will reveal it to me...

I'm not sure if i can ever reiterate this enough. the internet is just fabulous!!! i just got one of my problems solved through the internet again...

here's wad happened,

recently, like 2 months or so ago...i accidentally made all my icons on my desktop appear highlighted...there's this blue background over all of them...wad an eyesore it was...and so i changed the background to the same color as the color the icons were highlighted in...i.e. blue...

i've tried many ways on my own to fix the problem...but to no avail...then just now..i thought i should just google and see if i can find help...and how elated i was when i found out that there were people out there who experienced the same thing..i searched through all the answers/solutions and fixed the problem...ahhh~...my desktop looks so much nicer now...

the internet is simply fantastic!!! i love it...

i use it to while away my time...
i use it to get resources for my assignments...
i use it to find information about stupid brainless topics that pop into my head from time to time...
i use it to find information about things i'm seriously interested about...
i use it to find people i would otherwise have lost total contact with...
i use it to express my thoughts on things that don't really matter...
i use it to talk to my friends...
etc...i basically use it a lot!!

i thank God for providing wisdom to the people who invented the internet...my life has definitely been made more convenient...

i'm actually feeling guilty for having so much fun while my friends in school are slogging their butts off...i look at the long list of nicks on my msn list...and almost all of them have something to say about schoolwork and how mgm 403 is killing them softly...hahaha...oh man i feel bad for laughing too...blast! ermz... my heart goes out to you guys tho'...keep ur chins up guys! i'm sure u guys will survive...

This would probably be a good and accurate picture to describe my life at this point of time. Me, alone, on a boat, at sea, with waves representing obstacles or hurdles i have to overcome. The horizon is my ultimate destination but i do not exactly know what will await me when i reach it. So, i'm just riding along, just rowing...hoping to reach whatever i am supposed to reach...just going along...in a direction that would bring me to a destination i do not yet know or have not yet decided...

yes, i've started using the guitar...not going to make it a white elephant..however the first person who actually used it to produce some music was my dad...i tried out two chords just now, the A chord and the D chord..anyway...it took no longer than 10 min for me to find the pain irresistible..and i had to stop...blah!...

i first used it when its rave came on...and then i deleted my account..and then i re-started again out of pure boredom...

first let's start with the definition ( i've always been curious about the REAL definition of the word but i've been too lazy to check) :

I can sleep (no inability to sleep, i can sleep for 9 hours sometimes even more!), I can obtain sufficient sleep, I do not suffer from sleeplessness and this is not chronic (i don't suffer from this everyday)

I DO however suffer from the inability to fall asleep at "proper" timings like before 12 midnight?

Therefore, technically, i guess i'm not an insomniac.

yes!!! ever since sec one...i've been using the hairband...without it i feel weird...i.e. when my hair's short..when it's long i just bun or tie it up...oh but i would need clips! i can't just tie it up with a rubberband i'll need at least one clip and i never ever let my hair down...only at home...to let my scalp rest...

here's some trivia: in sec one n two...the juniors or those who did not noe me wld call me "the white hair band girl" --- so not cool!

anyway...i think i'm going to say goodbye to hairbands...i realise..my hair can still look pretty good without it...i feel more free too! as in no strain/pain on the sides of my head behind the ear...etc.. but usually the hairbands i have dun really give me pain...and also i usually wear hairbands cos i'm lazy to comb my hair properly..etc..anyway...here's a pic of me without the hairband today:

it was daunting at first to step out of the hse those few times without it...but i got used to it...

oh and i think me frens have been dropping me hints to not wear hairbands lol and i've always ignored them cos the thing is the hairband gives me some kind of security..(weird but true)...so heh wanna thank u guys for caring :D

i had lots of fun at cafe del mar!

the one person who made the whole partay really memorable for me was a staff at cafe del mar...*claps hands* to honor all the workers at cafe del mar..they were so sweet and nice :D especially the one who came up to me with the first aid kit. I did not even realise i bruised my knee..i was rubbing it subconsciously...and then this staff came by and asked if i needed a plaster...and i looked at my bruise..it was really nothing...if he didn't come, i probably would not have realized it was there until i came home...no plaster was needed but i'm just so touched...whee! i should have taken down his name and write a nice note to the manager..and maybe get him promoted ahahah...i probably got the bruise when i was getting out of the pool...

but of course i had a great time with ma frens too! :D

went bowling yesterday...din get enough sleep the night before..woke up with puffy eyes...someone set the time to meet at 11 am!...anyway...had lunch at jack's place before heading down to a deserted marina south for bowling...

first time playing with two lanes at the same time---after throwing...you dun really have to wait that long before u can bowl again u can just go over to the other lane if it's ur turn...

i woke up this morning with my right hand and my left leg sore and aching...

and then after that we went to cut someone's hair at summer de ete

on our way to ulu pandan, the cabbie asked if he could stop at a petrol kiosk and go to the loo...the 2 guys in the cab were laughing and saying tht this would not happen in the U.S. cos the people in the cab would be able to steal all the stuff in the cab..the cash and all..lol...it's great living in Singapore huh? super safe...heh heh...

anyway i was so tempted to cut my hair again..just have a change...but seriously there was nothing to cut...i'll just have to grow it out...

then we went over to haato again at my condo to have ice-cream and play scrabble...which was really quite fun! i enjoyed it..it's been a long time since i played scrabble...

and then we went to hog's breath to meet up with my sis and ade...and took privilege of the one for one meal promotion with the UOB card..thanks adeline!! that meal was super filling!!!

exam's not over for me. it should have been! ahh! i could have taken the earlier exam but i thought i might regret and need more time to study since i kinda lost motivation to study for the subject since i already started relaxing right after they announced "no exam" haiz...one more week! all i need to do is to wait one more week..or rather study for a week (as if that would really happen)...heh...

anyway yesterday was sunday and it was mother's day, i went out shopping the whole day with adeline and then my sis joined us and we went to arab street to try shisha, which as you can see from the previous post was a stupid idea, shisha i mean, but not the restaurant. the restaurant's ambiance was fantastic! love it there..

anyway here's what I bought:

-Stila make up set (blusher, 3 eyeshadow, 1 lip gloss) and one gray eye liner

-make up remover and a brush set from body shop

-2 pairs of shoes (one from tinkerbell, one from lemon tee)

-natalie imbruglia's other 2 albums

-and of course the mother's day gift, estee lauder's white linen

i thought i bought a lot more stuff..hmm...am i forgetting something?...

Edit: I remember now, green nail polish ahah...

anyway, i'm supposed to be at marina square at 11am, one hour from now...so i better go get ready...

i pride myself in never taking a cigarette in my life and i unknowingly did something far worse.

Shisha

Medical experts have warned that shisha has a more perilous impact on health compared to cigarette smoking. They say most shisha smokers have a misconception based on a wrongful and unscientific notion that tobacco used in shisha is herbal and does not affect body organs.

Medical experts have also cautioned that one of the hazards of smoking shisha is lung cancer.

"Most people misleadingly believe shisha does not contain tobacco and that when they smoke they inhale herbal products. It is the added flavours that make them feel they are smoking herbs, while they are actually taking in tobacco and are highly likely to become addicted to nicotine. Shisha smokers should realise that it is far more dangerous than cigarette smoking because the amount of nicotine in shisha can not be measured due to packing differences," a doctor in the government sector warned.

Moreover, while smoking hubble-bubble the aluminium foil, which is usually of poor quality, reacts with the burning charcoal and produces aluminium fumes that are carcinogenic or in other words causes cancer, he said.

He clarified that the amount of carbon dioxide inhaled through shisha is very high compared to cigarette smoking, adding that one shisha smoke is equal to seven or 10 cigarettes depending on the packed ingredients.

He stressed shisha smokers should also be aware of the fact that when smoke goes through water humidity in smoke increases and it then tends to stay for a longer time in the lungs. Some germs, mainly bacteria that cause tuberculosis, live in the shisha pipe.

"According to recent studies the pipe could act as a good medium for conveying bacteria causing infectious diseases like Hepatitis A that can be easily transmitted when shisha pipe is used by multiple smokers," apprised the medical expert.

went shopping for a guitar today with my friends. but ahem the prices were a lil' steep so i've decided to re-string the old guitar and use it first.

we went to the salvation army! woo! was surprised at what i saw there...they had everything..there were old and new stuff..but yeah..we did not get anything from there...heh...

ate some nice ice-cream at this nice ice-cream shop that opened at my condo not too long ago...

church's tertiary gathering was great. i found myself more focused as to well, what God wants me to do in my life..He sort of brought me back in again, reminding me of His presence and my purpose :D He's awesome!

my hols are no longer boring...i have lots of stuff to do!!! yeah..i've accumulated stuff for myself to do...heh :D

oh there was this interesting scene that happened at the fondue area. This mom and little boy were there, then the mom said,"you can only have two, if not i cane you." she actually said CANE! just because the son wanted to have more marshmallow???!!!...i felt sorry for the little boy...as he followed his mom back to their seats he kept saying, "mommy, don't cane me ok? mommy, don't cane me ok?" but the boy looked normal la...very cute, very energetic heh..did not look abused..but seriously the mom's words were too harsh i think..CANE CANE CANE?? for this??? the mom's nuts. i told my mom and my mom just shook her head and tsk tsk tsked...

in my entire life i think i was caned maybe 10 times max? i remember running around the dining table while my mom chased me with the cane when i was 5?..looking back, the scene's actually quite funny...when u get caned the buttocks hurt and i would cry and run to my room and my mom would come in like 5 min later to comfort me...

and if my grandma was around, all i needed to do was just run to my grandma for protection and she'll never ever cane me :D heh heh i love ah ma!! ah ma will always tell my mom in hokkien, "mai pa la, mai pa la" ("don't beat la, don't beat la") and i get away scot-free heh heh :D i think i'll go visit her soon, it's been quite long since i last visited her.

i've been going out after the "no exam",

right after the "no exam" i went to meet up with the cell after they watched spiderman...had some nice green tea ice cream :D

on sat i went for high tea with mom at scotts lounge, went to church, then went to partay with rach.

today, i went for high tea wif mom and sis at scotts lounge again, and did quite a bit of shopping, mom bought lots of stuff from marks and spencer for herself, she bought me a pair of agatha earrings n my sis bought stuff from everywhere...

i'll be going shopping again tomorrow with andrea, yippy!! should probably sleep now so i can wake up tom to meet her..but not before i upload some photos!

the exam question papers were handed out...we turned over to the front cover when we were told to do so and started on it when we were told to do so... the first question stumped me and i glanced through the rest of the questions...they were weird, really weird...they looked very familiar...under my breath i uttered,"huh?" and i hear everyone else in the room restless about their seats...then one person raised up his hand and said, "i think we've got the wrong question paper!" and EVERYONE else in the room chimed in unanimously, "yeah!"

basically the exam period is not over yet!!! i still have one more paper!!!!!!!!

good or bad i do not no...cos well i get to study again and maybe score better on a later date, but then again my holiday is somewhat spoiled/shortened...cos i need to carry around the agony/stress for a few more days before this whole thing is resolved...

p.s.: for the first 20 min, i was a little pissed at the whole situation...then i started to laugh at the situation...which i found to be really bizarre!!! now, i actually find it more amusing than irritating...

(my dad's) it's so sad my mom gave my dad's retro guitar away..the one he brought to england and back...she gave it to a neighbor's maid. she was clearing out the closet...my dad was a little sad when he found out but my mom claimed she asked him if he wanted it still and he said no...anyway i miss that guitar...even though it was not mine...i remember it had stickers...stickers my dad pasted in the 1970s??? so retro...i can't believe my mom just gave it away! it should be kept as a family heirloom...ahahah...i'm so full of it...

i blew dry my hair and what do u noe? it turned out great! no need for hairband!!! i went out of the room and let my mom see the hair. As i pointed to my hair, i said,"nice right?" and she said "yeahhhh~" i said, "no need hairband right?" she said, "no need." i said, "should take a picture right?" she said,"yeah!"...so here's the picture..

to those who think that to do well in the American system is easy peasy, well let me tell you it is not.

An A is at a 92.5 most of the time. I had a friend who once asked if it was set so high cos it's really easy to get As. well it is so not. it is really difficult. if you want the A, you need to put in an A grade effort and it's not easy.

yes... i am stressing out right now. it's the exam period. thoughts of grades, grades and more grades are flooding my brain. i wonder about the GPA at the end of the entire course. i don't need anything greater than a 3.75. give me a 3.75 and i'll be happy for life! extremely satisfied...

the thing is, it is so easy for ur GPA to slip. and when it does, it slips by a lot. and when u make the effort and get more As than the previous semester, ur GPA only goes up by a small tiny puny little bit.

It is tough people, really. this is assuming u are striving for err a good GPA. If all u want is really just that cert that says u are a graduate? well i guess after clearing that min. GPA to get into the school of wadever major ur doing u can just go ahead and get ur Cs and Ds. This would be easy peasy.

anyway...as i was saying, at the end of the day, i want a 3.75 cos it is doable it's just the amount of hard work i'll have to put in that's frustrating me. cos i'm really quite exhausted after 6 semesters...

in this point of time, i'm really glad that i have friends and classmates around me that share a similar goal and are encouraging me and pushing me forward :D all the best guys, i hope we all make it! :D

and i have other friends, my family and sometimes the holy spirit reminding me that it is not by my strength that things happen. why this exhaustion? my brains came from the lord. i'm just His servant, His instrument. why do i need to strife? when i succeed it is not about me. I did not do it, but it is the lord who gave me everything that i needed to do it. so all glory goes to Him...

it's so difficult for me to let go and let the lord handle everything. it's easy to say i surrender all and i have said that countless times. but did i really surrender all??

i'm really inspired by some of my friends in church. they go for cell, church and do all sorts of church activities and yet they are able to do so exceedingly well in their exams. i think it has to do with trust, trusting the lord, having faith and putting it to work.

oh it also has to be said that at the end of the day, you must make sure you really got an education. you DID study something. you DID get something out of ur undergraduate studies. knowledge that will help you grow and mature and go into whatever field of business you so wish to go.

ok. think i've reflected and vented enough. Lord hear my cry. I know you've heard me. I'm here. do to me what you will. really, take control. i love ya! :)

as i was taking a break from watching the lecture videos, i decided to paint my fingernails with my turquoise nail polish. i love the color turquoise cos i just like it heh and it also reminds me of crescent :) gonna remove the paint job tho, cos i'm not that daring. Although, i did wear the color on my toenails for quite a long duration last semm. I don't really mind any color on my toenails *shrugs*

hmm...it looks kinda green huh?...

and to all the fans of the korean show, Goong, i have something that you might like:

a notebook all the way from korea. it came from the bear museum that was featured in the show. where the young princess accompanied the grandma? and the bears there were dressed up in all sorts of clothing?

yah..anyway...my sister's fren from work went to korea and bought two for her and she gave me one...

my favorite! so cute!

i have no idea where the stains on the pages came from...hmm...*wonders*

i have no idea when i'll ever get to use it or if i even bear to use it..it's so nice. i'm ridiculous.

p.s.: i wanted to go shopping just now, but it rained. but now that the rain has stopped, i'll be going out with my sis. shopping! :D gonna get myself a light green nail polish...for my fingernails that i will dare to wear out :D

Ok i've been wanting to write this for the longest time, but i keep forgetting.

First came: "Hi~ I am VAIO"

Now there is: "Hi~ I am MIO"

I feel that the personification of our gadgets is kinda creepy in some weird way. *shrugs*

And I wonder why singtel ran an ad so similar to the vaio ad. no creativity? copycat?

p.s.: i've been overworking my printer and laptop. really afraid they may break.

oh and i would seriously encourage my friends to use firefox. it's FREE! so much faster and really user friendly.

i've been using firefox for awhile and got used to the speed..and then one day i used internet explorer for fun or i clicked on the wrong icon, can't remember which...it took double the time firefox takes for the page to show up...i remember waiting and waiting and waiting...but yeah i'm exaggerating. but seriously it is very much faster. just give it a go. no harm. :D

boy, am i a good friend or what? haha...kidding...lame...stupid...need to go to bed...bye bye...

I just bought their album, yuck. wasted money. after buying it, i was like wait. don't i have some of their songs in my ipod already??!!! my goodness!!! anyway....i got sick of listening to it after one night...the lyrics are so negative...i'm not sure why i was even attracted to their songs in the first place...argh. kicking myself in the butt...

i dislike uncertainty

who likes uncertainty? not me definitely. i need to know things, cos i like to plan. whether or not i fulfill what i had planned out to do is a whole other thing.

what frustrates me is when teachers mark our papers so slowly and give our grades back so late...how i endured the 3mth wait for my O level results and even longer for my A level results is a mystery...

of course i know teachers are humans too...and they have other stuff besides marking to do as well...this is just a rant...hopefully they are taking such a long time because they are trying to ensure that they are fair in their marking etc. cos the last thing i want is for a teacher to count my marks wrongly ( it has happened quite a few times) or not read my answers thoroughly ( although i think most teachers probably just glance through our essay answers...or research papers...)

oh wadever...

p.s.: i should have seen the doc earlier to get antibiotics or better cough medicine :) i feel so much better now with the right meds. self-medicating is not a good idea. although the doc did say i was right to take panadol cold relief and clarinase. but i should not take them together at the same time or it might cause my heart to palpitate and cause discomfort (and i did just tht but only once...heh)

oh and i'm so hooked on avril lavigne's girlfriend music video, i watch it everytime it comes on but i don't agree with snatching another girl's boyfriend :(

yeah the time to mug has come. just need to endure for 2 weeks and it will be the end of semester and time for FUN! cannot wait...

i've a few things planned after the exams:

-take GMAT
-take advanced theory
-learn to drive
-go on a short holiday with sis
-and more...

i miscalculated my holidays...i only have one month and 3 weeks NOT 2 months and 3 weeks...heh...

i'll be taking only one subject next semester: sales force management :D need to find constructive things to do...

It has been a sad week..really sad...

ye ye was cremated todae and my dad will be going to get his ashes tomorrow.

it was only when the coffin went in that i truly felt that he was no longer with us :( but my memories of him will live on...

The flu bug has been going around...and it has hit me again. I just recovered from a flu just not too long ago and i'm experiencing it again. this sucks so much. I just came home from school to rest...will have to go back again for a long law lecture.

AND I'M GOING TO WATCH PHANTOM TODAY!- what a day to be sick huh?

I finished reading my sister's keeper.

Here's what I think about the book:

It has a nice story and if you watch enough HK drama serials, you will find the ending predictable.

Anyhow, it sucks to be sick, and as I was praying for the lord to heal me quickly, this song came into my head:

the tee and jacket arrived yesterday...i was so excited when my sis came home holding the package in her hands...

i opened it to find the stuff i bought:

and realize the quality of the tee was not great, the cotton was super thin (threadless is better)...the jacket turned out to be ok but still below my expectation. wad a disappointment :(

love the print on the jacket tho'...

neat. there are also some prints on the sleeves :D
